Presentation 1:

DNDi: new R&D for old diseases

Graeme  Bilbe will present an overview of the R&D model of DNDi and describe examples of progress made towards new oral therapies for two neglected disease, human African trypanosomiasis and leishmaniases.


Presentation 2:

Drug Discovery and Open Innovation at DNDi

Charles Mowbray, Director of Drug Discovery, will explain the role of the Drug Discovery Team at DNDi and how collaborative virtual projects and Open Innovation approaches contribute to the R&D pipeline for neglected patients.


Presentation 3:


François Franceschi, Project Leader for the Antimicrobial Memory Recovery and Exploratory Programme (AMREP),  will present the flagship projects of GARDP, established as a not-for-profit research and development (R&D) initiative in May 2016 as a joint initiative by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi)  to develop new antibiotic treatments addressing antimicrobial resistance and to promote their responsible use for optimal conservation, while ensuring equitable access for all in need.
