Research Projects and Studies on Malaria
Efforts to control and eliminate malaria in endemic areas over the past decade have produced relatively good results, with some countries reaching pre-elimination phase. However, several other countries continue to experience high levels of morbidity and mortality from the disease particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Our research in malaria focuses on determining genetic and environmental factors that contribute to reducing the potential impact of the control measures put in place.
