Overview

Epidemics do not just happen to societies. They take shape through them. The research group explores how epidemics are driven by histories of mistrust, extractivism, conflict, poverty, and inequalities. We conduct long-term ethnographic fieldwork with the aim of learning how diverse communities confront Ebola outbreaks, antimicrobial resistance, and Lassa Fever. Our work aims to contribute to interdisciplinary research on One Health and planetary health.
