Which infections are relevant where and how are they transmitted?

For many infections, knowledge about the spread, transmission and reservoirs of pathogens, as well as the risk factors for severe disease progression, is incomplete, which makes it difficult to develop non-drug interventions. Epidemiological projects and infection modelling are being carried out to fill the gaps and enable predictions to be made.
