Funding programs
In general, the Friends promote two types of programs:
Some programs are financed from the association's basic budget, which is fed by membership fees and profits from the financial market, such as the current increase in scholarships and doctoral awards.
Other, often larger programs, such as the Qiagen Fund and the Ortrud Muehrer Travel Grants (now Christa Stehling Travel Grants), are financed by donations and bequests and bear corresponding names.
