How do host, pathogen and vector interact?

This section investigates how pathogens trigger immunological and immunopathological processes in the host, how pathogens interact with their host's cells and what pathogen structures are required for this, how they evade the immune response, what other strategies the pathogens use to survive in the host's cells and organism, and how efficient transmission is ensured.
