This project was also part of the German Biosecurity Programme. It aimed to improve the diagnosis, early detection and management of CCHFV, hantaviruses (HantaV) and monkeypox virus (MPXV), as well as other safety-relevant human viral diseases. This was achieved through training and education, targeted detection of human pathogens (CCHFV, HTNV and MPXV), and measures to strengthen biosafety and biosecurity and minimize the risk of misuse of pathogens with bioterrorism potential.
