Funding
The Health Communication Working Group applies for a variety of grants. However, the working group refrains from receiving grants from pharmaceutical companies.
Current grants are:
- Leibniz Professur Best Minds (P106/2020), “Behavioural Insights Research Center on Preventive Health”, Leibniz Association (with Bernhard Nocht Insitute, Hamburg)
- Professor of Health Communication (BE 3970/12-1) „Behavioral Insights to improve evidence-informed health communication – the example of vaccine hesitancy and prudent use of antibiotics”, German Research Foundation (DFG), ca. (second phase of approval)
- Planetary Health Action Survey (PACE) is a joint project of the Universität Erfurt (UE), Bernhard-Nocht-Institut für Tropenmedizin (BNITM), Robert Koch-Institut (RKI), Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung (BZgA), Leibniz-Institut für Psychologie (ZPID) and Science Media Center (SMC). Funded by the Klaus Tschira Stiftung und BZgA on behalf of the BMG.
- Global Alliance for Global Health Research (GLOHRA): “IMPACTS - Investigating Motivations, Practices, Attitudes and Consumption of Toxic Skin-Lightening”
- Bundesministerium für Forschung, Raumfahrt und Technologie (BMFTR): “GenDiMedNet – Geschlechtersensible Gesundheitskommunikation”
- One Health Platform: “LUMEN - Adapting to the Light: Mosquito Behaviour, Human Exposure and Vector Control in a Changing Climate”
