Overview

Our research group focuses on operational and implementation research studies aimed at identifying solutions for prevention and management of diseases of poverty, with a main emphasis on vaccination in low resource settings, novel approaches towards schistosomiasis and women’s health. The majority of our studies is conducted in cooperation with our partners of APSIAN and the CICM in Madagascar, where a high burden of schistosomiasis among other pressing health challenges is described. Additional studies are conducted in Sub-Saharan Africa with a major focus on francophone-Africa.

In collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Academy of Competence & Education for Global Health, higher education and capacity building activities are coordinated by the RG Implementation Research.
